Rainbow Bridge

This fully handmade glass rainbow makes a perfect memorial for a beloved pet with the symbolism of crossing the rainbow bridge. Please read the full description before ordering.

DIMENSIONS:
This listing is for a medium-sized rainbow (12 x 5 x 4.5 cm). Other sizes are available in my shop.

ASHES:
If you choose the option with ashes, you will receive a message containing my address and instructions for posting a small amount of ashes (less than a teaspoon) after you place your order. Please note that the buyer is responsible for posting the remains to me. If you are posting from abroad, I recommend looking into any restrictions that may exist in your country and abiding by these. I also strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service for your peace of mind.

I use just enough ashes to catch the light, creating a visible but subtle sparkle effect, but not so much that it will affect the integrity of the glass. The ashes will be scattered throughout the rainbow. If you want a different placement of the ashes (e.g. on one end only), please contact me before ordering. Unlike resin items, glass will never fade or degrade with exposure to UV light, so you can safely display your rainbow on a windowsill where it will catch the light.

Each rainbow is made in my home studio (in Scotland) with utmost care and respect.
As soon as I receive your ashes I will let you know via e-mail. I will then make your rainbow with your pet’s ashes (allow up to 2 weeks for creation time). Any ashes that are not used in your rainbow will be returned to you along with the rainbow using a tracked delivery service.

LETTERS:
Letters are applied using an iron oxide process which becomes a permanent part of the glass and will not rub off or fade away. It is a metallic coating which will look opaque or translucent depending on the angle of the light (see photos).

You can choose from three options for the font style used. The listed prices allow for up to 10 letters in one line on the rainbow. If you require more letters/numbers/lines, or would like a different font, please contact me before ordering.

GRAPHIC:
Optionally, a simple graphic can be applied using the same iron oxide process as the letters. See the listing photos for some default options covering a wide range of different breeds of dog in different poses (including collie, labrador, greyhound, retriever, frenchie, bulldog, cockapoo, labradoodle, chihuahua) as well as options for a cat, horse, Guinea pig and rabbit. If you don’t see a good option for your pet, or you would like a different graphic, just send me a message to enquire about a custom order.

RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS: I do not accept returns on personalised items or those containing ashes. You can cancel your order up until the ashes have been incorporated into the glass, or until personalisation has been applied.
